It doesn't escape my attention that there's a lot of red in the moment that one lady leaps off the structure and dies on impact. Obviously there'd be the blood. (She leaves behind a black stain, like everyone else does, no matter the manner of their death or disappearance, the same color as the ghosts.)
When Harue shoots herself, she's wearing a purple or maroon, not necessarily a red; she hasn't always been sticking to those highly specific colors, most people in the story don't do that most of the time. And there's not a speck of red, even when they lift her body and carry her away. Not a speck of red. A totally bloodless suicide, with a gun.

Ryosuke straight up changes clothes between when he leaves the train and shows up at Harue's apartment, chasing after her. It's certainly a deliberate choice. He, like Michi's car, is yellow in the washed out white and grey of ghost-invaded Tokyo. Before, on the train, he was wearing red. (And unlike Junko when Michi fell asleep while keeping vigil over her, there was no plausible time for him to have changed clothes.)
The colors are so often so very deliberately washed out, bleached, whites and greys and creams, just enough that you can tell it's not a black and white movie. (The plants are green. It stands out against the city.)
The red tape on the doors, windows, etc. that form the conduits, the red notebook Harue is using in the scene where we first see the ghastly computer models of that grad student she's studying with, even the red chair Michi's TV is set up on, Harue's and the grad student's red clothes, the red clothing of the man who goads Ryosuke into chasing the ghost in the library, all seem fairly consistent.
But Ryosuke is wearing red when he is trying to get Harue to flee with him on the train, and the gas can is red in the scene where he goes to find gasoline for the car.
When Junko enters the forbidden room, she's wearing red, just like the tape around the door. She's wearing white afterward, in Michi's apartment, when she's given up; an ashen, washed-out color, a funerary color. After Michi wakes up again, she's wearing black, the right color to fade into a stain on the wall in broad daylight.
