"Pity the fool who owns a pool"

This article reminds me of years ago when we moved to a country town and the only rental available had a pool. But it was not any pool. It was the pool shop joke.

The staff at the local pool shop laughed when they found out it was now our pool. Then they helped us out and sold us chemicals...
so many chemicals...
more and more chemicals.

But no amount of chemicals or combination thereof would stop the mould and the frogs breeding in our pool. We might have it under control and swimable for a weekend, but it would always revert back to form, and I would be down at the pool shop yet again, at the pool edge pouring even more chemicals in, again.

Never again! I love public pools!
