Ptown keeps surprising me, after all these years I spent so much time here. I came across CERALDI when I was just browsing dinner reservations and booked for 3 course dinner for tonight. It was an amazing experience!

It was fine dining but more fun! Our waiter was having fun explaining each course and wine. I could see the hot chef working in the kitchen and he smiled and waved at me 🥰 before we left.

They know where their ingredients come from, most of which from local farms on the Cape. The most local is the lobster from Ptown harbor. The flavor profile is very pleasant - not overly complicated or sophisticated but still gave me a little surprises here and there. I looked up the farm for the short rib that was in the ravioli and regretted it immediately - that farms raises Scottish Highland cows - like the cutest cow ever!

Anyway it was a great experience and next time we'll try their 7 course tasting menu!

Finally got into some wilderness and recalibrated my brain. Started in evergreen forest, uphill into beech forest, down between dunes covered in beech, out into the open dunes, to a bog where I spent 20 mins harvesting cranberries, then back along pretty pond. #hiking #NationalSeashore #ProvinceLands #PTown #getoutside

A final #foraging count from one week in the dunes: 1.5 gal (5.6 L) of wild cranberries, but zero, as in not a single beach plum (whereas last year in the same location I harvested 16 lb of beach plums). If I were still a mushroomer, there would be a hundred pounds of boletes. #ptown #ProvinceLands #NationalSeashore #Cranberries #BeachPlums #mushrooms
