I just got called a #Nazi by someone who mentioned me in a post then later deleted it.

So I will call that person a #coward because they can't stand by their convictions the way the Nazis did.

Name calling is so over rated and stupid. Insecure people shouldn't have to be able to influence diversion like this on a constant basis.

this exact response is the reason why centralized platforms target you now.

Here's a fact for you guys.

#Hitlerian ideology existed far longer than the #European attempted #colonization of everything into a #German #Reich which effectively makes #Nazism prone to regional difference, all be it one with the potential #historical #power to have long lasting consequences on the people who at the time, didn't see it coming as satellite states emerged from it.

So let's face it. I'm not #German I'm #Canadian and speak #English and no other #language as such.

For anyone who really wants to know, the term #neonazi exists for people who #self-identify as being simpathetic to Hitlerian doctrine.

This is how dumb you guys are for doing this. And I know what you try to #suggest as such. That we are in such a #state of irreparable #disagreement, that this is the best you can come up with to #distance yourself from any sort of wider #context that doesn't fit your #narrative of #people who disagree with you.

So what? Can we not have an honest conversation about a few things without making solutions barred by political disconnectivity? That's exactly what the Nazi's proposed to do accept their solution wasn't just silence, it was death and destruction on a scale that has never truly went away ever since subsequent governments around our world, came into power and upgraded weapons systems continuously while operating elite networks from the shadows. In an effort, to instigate things like the #world #economic #forum and other big #thinktank organizations into a much broader sense of hostility than any of us individually call for as citizens of any and every nation.

I will say it loudly and #proudly as such. I am not someone who wants any group of people to face a premature end of their life on this planet, based on factors that nobody can control. And even if we can, I still want us to live our lives unimpeded by political #violence of any kind. And that includes #faith based groups to get along within #community spaces that do not challenge monomorphic #dominance at every step of the way.

I am disgusted at the #tribalism going on infecting every aspect of a normal #life facing my generation. And to just throw words like this out there, without any existential #planning or forethought on how this entire wretched #ideology can finally meet the dustbin of #history as such, to put it to #rest has no basis in #reality at all.

Look. I'm against people controling my life in ways I don't want them to. But that's true for all of us. So if you're going to name call, just remember that not everyone will take that lying down with a straight face and not move a mustle in the direction of a #fighting stance your way afterward.

I will not react in that manner, because I do put #peace and #prosperity first. And I don't censor people if they have opposing views to my own. But that's me. It's not you, and if you're that much of a coward to the point where you essentially do the same thing, only after you #feel #safe behind a cyber void, all the power to you.

But I bring this up publicly because reputations like this, although they're not supposed to, they actually do effect how highly you rank as a content provider. And on a shared internet, that carries more weight than you might think. Especially in today's toxic divided world where prayer is so much needed more so than ignorance and stupidity, where none can be found.

I don't want to live in a world where people start literally weaponizing eternity over a personal choice of faith. Nor do I want to live in one, where not choosing faith of any kind, let alone mandated ones, will land you as a person who is a continuous victim of statelessness by your actual neighbor in kind.

The Abrahamic religions are a perfect example (one of many in context) that have done more harm to divide people, than any other group in human history combined. And I am not one to book ban, but if those religions want to continue spewing their vile trash all over the place, it's time to set a precedent. But even still, that requires rethinking your approach to lead by example, and not paying attention to the example someone else can't lead by. Which again, makes book banning, the thing the Nazi's did, utterly archaic and barbaric to me

Wake up people. We don't live in a world that's so hard done by, that it can't be repaired. And it starts with refusing to use a tool at your disposal against someone you barely even had words with, because you can, in a way that significantly challenges their right to coexist alongside you.

The only way you'll learn discernment, is by understanding this as a core concept. I have all the tools at my disposal as a server instance owner to really stick it to people if I choose to. But so too does the US government own nuclear weapons to stick it to us if they chose to. And I count my blessings every time I wake up, and we haven't regressed that far into mass destruction to which there is no return. So likewise, because and due to that, I practice discernment out of choice, even when I can legally get away with being a lot harsher. I do not do so out of pity, but out of respect.

So let's take a second and thank the Nazi's for coming into our lives. Not for their ideology, or their vile addiction to power and hatred. But because they taught us, to be better people to not be like them because they failed at suppressing the human spirit.

I don't want to see you pull some shit online you wouldn't in get away with in real life. Not because I want you to be oppressed, but because the more we treat our communities like bridges connecting real people together, the less likely we'll respond to situations with outlandish and stupid methods of containment until and unless we have no other choice but to defend against systematic collapse.

Please know the power of your presence and use it. I don't want to have to be the only one who does. I'm fully aware that I'm not in control of what someone else does. But so long as they're not doing something to you that you wouldn't want, let them be and move on. That's what being responsible gets you in 2026.

I wish I didn't have to spell this out. But honestly, what hurts me more so than the accusation of something that isn't even real. Is that, you use that as a justification to do something that is real, with lasting consequences on not just reputation, but disinterest without a trail of provocation to go along with it. It'd be not unlike setting your neighborhood ablaze because the pizza delivery guy was 5 minutes late.

If this kind of antisocial behaviour isn't course corrected, our 30 something year old generation will be the last to have known the meaning of true freedom as we know it, because people like you, will get more attention by being underhanded, rather than straight up and honest about where we stand. And as such, would force the natural rather than enforced suppression of sudden unpredictability, back where it rightfully belongs. In the could have been moments of our lives, but not in the never were enactments of them.

Or in other words, focusing on the self you become not as a hot headed entity, or a cold calculating monster. But the one in between, that sees both sides, and not just the one you embody because you think it's going to matter to a fault, rather than a cause.

Stay informed, and know you are not alone in caring for the same things I do. History doesn't always get things right, but that's why we talk about it, rather than remaining silent and hoping it goes away on its own.

For some situations, that can happen. But this isn't one of them.

Borderline bei Männern, bzw. männlich gelesenen Personen

Immer noch ist die Vorstellung verbreitet, Borderline betreffe ausschließlich (junge) Frauen und mit 25 sei dann, ich spitze etwas zu, eh alles ausgeheilt und gut.

Das geht an der Wirklichkeit vorbei: Borderline kann Menschen über Jahrzehnte begleiten, aber vor allem, Boderline kann auch Männer, bzw. männlich gelesene Personen über Jahrzehnte prägen.

Mein 'kleiner', mittlerweile aber auch schon Ende 40, Bruder macht da Aufklärungsarbeit, ich finde ihn unfassbar mutig. Zugleich ist da Scham, ihm in Kindheitstagen nicht geholfen, nicht auf ihn aufgepasst zu haben, ihm kein guter 'großer Bruder' gewesen zu sein.

Die Süddeutsche Zeitung hat meinen Bruder gestern auf Seite 3 portraitiert.

Apotheosis

This is also called divinization or deification. It’s from the Latin deificato, meaning “making divine.” This is the glorification of a subject to divine levels & commonly, the treatment of a human being, any other living thing, or an abstract idea in the likeness of a deity.

The original sense of apotheosis relates to religion & is the subject of many works of art. Figuratively “apotheosis” may be used in almost any context for “the deification, glorification, or exaltation of a principle, practice, etc.” So normally attached to an abstraction of some sort.

In religion, apotheosis was a feature of many religions in the ancient world. Some that are active today. It requires a belief that there’s a possibility of newly created God’s, so a polytheistic belief system.

The Abrahamic religions of Christianity, Islam, & Judaism don’t allow this. Though many recognize minor sacred categories such as saints. They’re created by a process called canonization. In Christian theology, there’s a concept of the faithful becoming god-like, called divinization or in Eastern Christianity theosis.

In Hinduism, there’s some range for new deities. A human may be deified by becoming regarded as an avatar of an established deity, usually a major one, or by being regarded as a new, independent deity (usually a minor one), or a mix of the 2.

In art, an apotheosis scene usually shows the subject in the Heavens or rising towards them. They’re often partnered by a number of angels, putti, personifications of virtues, or similar figures.

Especially from Baroque art onwards apotheosis scenes may show rulers, generals, or artists purely as an honorific symbol. In many cases, the “religious” context is classical Greco-Roman pagan religion, like The Apotheosis of Voltaire, which features Apollo. The Apotheosis of Washington (1865) sits high in the dome of the United States of America Capitol Building is another example. Personification of places or abstractions are also shown receiving an apotheosis. The classic composition was suited for artistic placement on ceilings or inside domes.

Before the Hellenistic period, imperial cults were known in ancient Egypt (pharaohs) & Mesopotamia (from Naran-Sin through Hammurabi). In the New Kingdom of Egypt, all deceased pharaohs were deified as the god Osiris, having been identified as Horus while on the throne. They were sometimes referred to as the “son” of other various deities.

The architect Imhotep was defied after his passing away. Though the process seems to have been gradual. This took over 1,000 years, by which time he had become associated with medicine. About a dozen non-royal ancient Egyptians became regarded as deities.

Ancient Greek & Roman religions have many characters who were born as humans but became gods. Like Disney’s Hercules. They’re usually made divine by 1 of the main deities, the 12 Olympians. In the Roman story of Cupid & Psyche, Zeus gave the ambrosia of the gods to the mortal Psyche. This transformed her into a goddess herself.

In the case of the Hellenistic queen Berenice II of Egypt was deified like other rulers of the Ptolemaic dynasty. The court dispersed a myth that her hair, that was cut off to fulfill a vow, had its own apotheosis before becoming the Coma Berenices, a group of stars that still bear her name.

In the Greek world, the 1st leader who granted himself diving honors was Philip II of Macedon. At the wedding to his 6th wife, Philip’s enthroned image was carried in procession among the Olympian gods. Such Hellenistic state leaders might be raised to a status equal to the gods before death, like Alexander the Great, or afterwards, like members of the Ptolemaic dynasty.

A heroic cult status that’s similar to apotheosis was also an honor given to a few reversed artists of the distant past, such as Homer.

Up to the end of the Roman Republic, the god Quirinus was the only 1 the Romans accepted as having undergone apotheosis, for his identification/syncretism with Romulus. Syncretism is the practice of meshing together different beliefs & various schools of thought. Eventually apotheosis in Ancient Rome was a process whereby a deceased ruler was recognized as divine by their successors. This was usually done by a decree of the Senate & popular consent.

The 1st of these cases was the posthumous deification of the last Roman dictator Julius Caesar in 42 BC by his adopted son, the triumvir Caesar Octavian. In addition to showing respect, the present ruler often deified a popular predecessor to legitimize himself & gain popularity himself & gain popularity with the people.

A vote in the Roman Senate, in the later Empire confirming an imperial decree, was the normal official process. But this sometimes followed a period with the unofficial use of deific language or imagery for the individual. This was often done rather discreetly within the imperial circle.

There was then a public ceremony, called a consecratio, including the release of an eagle which flew high. This represents the ascent of the deified person’s soul to Heaven. Imagery featuring the ascent, sometimes using a chariot, was common on coins & in other art.

The largest & most famous example in art in a relief on the base of the Column of Antoninus Pius, showing the emperor & his wife, Faustina the Elder, being carried up by a much larger winged figure, described as representing “Eternity,” as the personifications of “Roma” & the Campus Martius sit below, & eagles fly above. The imperial couple are represented as Jupiter & Juno (or Zeus & Hera).

The historian Dio Cassius, who said he was present, gives a detailed description of the large, & lavish, public consecratio of Perinax, emperor for 3 months in 193, ordered by Septimius Severus.

At the height of the imperial cult during the Roman Empire, sometimes the emperor’s deceased loved ones (heirs, empresses, or lovers) like Hadrian’s Antinous were deified as well.

Deified people were posthumously given the title ‘Divus’ for men & ‘Diva’ for women to their names to signify their divinity. Traditional Roman religion distinguished between a deus (god) & divus (a mortal who became divine or deified), though not consistently. Temple & columns were erected to provide a space for worship.

The imperial cult was mainly popular in the provinces. Especially in the Eastern Empire, where many cultures were well used to deified rulers, & less popular in Rome itself, & among traditionalists & intellectuals.

Some privately, & cautiously, ridiculed the apotheosis of inept & feeble emperors, as in the satire The Pumkinification of (the Divine) Claudius. This is usually attributed to Seneca.

Numerous mortals have been deified into the Taoist pantheon. Examples are Guan Yi, Iron-crutch Li, & Fan Kuai. Song dynasty general Yue Fei was deified during the Ming dynasty. He’s considered by some practitioners to be 1 of the 3 highest-ranking heavenly generals. The Ming dynasty epic Investiture of the Gods deals heavily with deification legends.

In the complicated, & variable, conceptions of deity in Buddhism, the achievement of Buddhahood may be regarded as an achievable goal for the faithful. Many significant deities are considered to have begun as normal people, from Gautama Buddha (the original Buddha & the creator of Buddhism) downwards. Most of these are seen as avatars or re-births of earlier figures.

Some significant Hindu deities, in particular Rama, were also born as humans. He’s seen as an avatar of Vishnu. In more modern times, Swaminarayan is an undoubted & well-documented historical figure, who’s regarded by some Hindus as an avatar of Vishnu, or as being a still more elevated deity. Bharat Mata (Mother India) began as a national personification devised by a group of Bengali intellectuals in the late 19th century. But now it receives some worship.

Various Hindu & Buddhist rulers in the past have been represented as deities, especially after death, from India to Indonesia. Jayavarman VII, King of the Khmer Empire the 1st Buddhist king of Cambodia, had his own features used for the many statues of Buddha/Avalokitevara he erected.

The extreme personality cult instituted by the founder of North Korea, Kim Il-Sung, has been to represent a deification. And continues to this day with the current leader. Even the nation is admittedly atheist.

In Christian theology, instead of the word “apotheosis,” they use the words “deification” or “divinization” or the Greek word “theosis.” Pre-Reformation, & mainstream theology, in both East & West, views Jesus Christ as the preexisting God who undertook mortal existence. Not as a mortal being who attained divinity. A view known as adoptionism. Adoptionism is an early Christian non-Trinitarian doctrine that holds that Jesus was born a mere human being. But Jesus was later adopted by God as His son, usually at Jesus’ baptism or resurrection, rather than being divine from eternity.

It holds that he has made it possible for human beings to be raised to the level of sharing the divine nature as II Peter 1:4 states that he became human to make humans “partakers of the divine nature.”

In John 10:34, Jesus referenced Psalm 82:6 when he stated: “Is it not written in your Law, I have said you are gods?” Other authors stated: “For this is why the Word became man, & the Son of God became the Son of man: so that Man, by entering into communion with the Word & thus receiving divine sonship, might be made God.” Accusations of self deification to some degree may have been placed on heretical such as the Waldensians.

The language of II Peter is taken up by St. Irenaeus, in his famous phrase, “if the Word has been made man, it is so that men may be made gods.” It becomes the standard in Greek theology. In the 14th century, St. Athanasius repeats Irenaeus almost word for word. In the 5th century, St. Cyril of Alexandria says that we shall become sons “by participation” (Greek methexis). Methexis is “group sharing,” where the audience actively participates in the performance.

Deification is the central idea in the spirituality of St. Maximus the Confessor. For whom the doctrine is the result of the Incarnation: “Deification, briefly, is the encompassion & fulfillment of all times and ages.”

The Roman Catholic Church doesn’t use the term “apotheosis” in its theology. This is equivalent to the Greek word theosis are Latin-derived words “divinization” & deification” used in the Latin tradition of the Catholic Church.

The concept has been given less prominence in Western theology than in that of the Eastern Catholic Churches. But is present in the Latin Church’s liturgical prayer.

Despite the theological differences, in the Catholic church art depictions of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary in art & the Ascension of Jesus in Christian art do share many similarities in composition to apotheosis subjects. As there are many images of saints being raised into Heaven.

Anthropolatry is the deification & worship of humans. It was practiced in ancient Japan towards their emperors. Followers of Socinianism were later accused of practicing anthropolatry.

We are bringing about both a suicidal-style ending of humans on Earth, a humanicide, as well as are taking down with us all other life on this planet…we are committing an ecocide.

Generation after generation of humans have passed down their personal pain & trauma, in some form or other, onto their offspring. Back into unrecorded history this vicious cycle has perpetuated itself. But many of us in these extraordinary times, & goaded on by the specter of global catastrophe, are saying, “Let us not continue this madness any further!” Attempting to break the cycle of hurting & then inflicting hurt, attempting to halt the prevailing insanity, we make the Gandhian effort to take the energy into ourselves, to change ourselves lest we, also, be like the generation before — forever passing on the insane legacy.

This book reveals the deepest roots of that human insanity that would end our species. They are found in the experiences in the womb & at birth. We see here how they have led to the atrocities & wars of all time, & how they can be finally gone beyond.

Generation after generation of humans have passed down their personal pain & trauma, in some form or other, onto their offspring. Back into unrecorded history this vicious cycle has perpetuated itself. But many of us in these extraordinary times, & goaded on by the specter of global catastrophe, are saying, “Let us not continue this madness any further!” Attempting to break the cycle of hurting & then inflicting hurt, attempting to halt the prevailing insanity, we make the Gandhian effort to take the energy into ourselves, to change ourselves lest we, also, be like the generation before — forever passing on the insane legacy.

Eine gemeinsame Pressemeldung der sechs Spitzenverbände der Freien Wohlfahrtspflege zum Bundeshaushalt 2025.

Berlin, 19. Juni 2024. Vor dem Hintergrund drohender #Kürzungen im #Bundeshaushalt warnen die Spitzenverbände der Freien Wohlfahrtspflege vor einer gefährlichen #Abwärtsspirale, in der immer mehr Angebote der Sozialen Arbeit eingestellt werden müssten. Menschen in schwierigen Lebenssituationen und Notlagen zu helfen, wird für die Einrichtungen und Dienste der Freien Wohlfahrtspflege angesichts massiver #Kostensteigerungen und sinkender Haushaltsmittel immer schwieriger. Die Spitzen von #Arbeiterwohlfahrt Bundesverband (AWO), Deutschem #Caritasverband (DCV), dem Paritätischen Gesamtverband, Deutschem Roten Kreuz (#DRK), der #Diakonie Deutschland und der #Zentralwohlfahrtsstelle der Juden in Deutschland (ZWST) fordern eine Trendwende bei der Finanzierung der Sozialen Arbeit. Sie sehen bei weiteren Kürzungen den sozialen Frieden in Deutschland gefährdet.

In den heute vorgelegten Ergebnissen der Umfrage zur finanziellen Lage der Einrichtungen und Dienste der Freien Wohlfahrtspflege wird ein teilweise pessimistisches Stimmungsbild von der Zukunft der Sozialen Arbeit in Deutschland deutlich.

Dies sind die wichtigsten Ergebnisse:

* Knapp zwei Drittel der Einrichtungen und Organisationen der Freien Wohlfahrtspflege mussten aufgrund finanzieller Schwierigkeiten in den vergangenen beiden Jahren ihre Angebote einschränken oder ganz einstellen. 63,8 Prozent der Befragten gaben an, dass sie Angebote und Leistungen einschränken mussten. Bei 14,7 Prozent der Befragten führte dies sogar dazu, dass Angebote und Leistungen gänzlich eingestellt werden mussten.

* Mehr als drei Viertel der Befragten rechnen damit, ihre Angebote auch 2025 weiter zurückfahren zu müssen. 75,6 Prozent der Befragten erwarten, dass sie 2025 weitere Angebote und Leistungen zurückfahren müssen. Dabei gaben 22 Prozent an, dass Angebote und Leistungen ganz wegfallen könnten.

* Mehr als 70 Prozent der Einrichtungen und Organisation befürchten, dass sich die Reduzierung der Angebote negativ auf demokratisches Engagement vor Ort auswirken wird. Vielfach sind die Einrichtungen und Organisationen der Freien Wohlfahrtspflege in ihren Quartieren, Städten und Regionen Ankerpunkte für Ehrenamt und bürgerschaftliches Engagement. 70,5 Prozent der Befragten sind sich sicher oder befürchten, dass dieses Engagement durch den Wegfall ihrer Angebote und Leistungen ebenfalls zurückgehen wird.

#BAGFW-Präsident Michael Groß (Arbeiterwohlfahrt Bundesverband): „Unsere Umfrage zeigt: Die #Sparpolitik des Finanzministers ist eine ernste Bedrohung für die soziale Infrastruktur in unserem Land. Statt auf Kosten der Menschen und ihrer Zukunft zu sparen, muss die #Bundesregierung umsteuern und in Zusammenhalt investieren!“

Eva Maria Welskop-Deffaa, Präsidentin des Deutschen Caritasverbandes (DCV): „Kitas und #Sozialstationen, #Schuldnerberatungsstellen und #Familienzentren – mit diesen Angeboten spannt die Freie Wohlfahrtspflege im sozialen Nahraum ein Netz, das trägt. Es trägt Menschen, die von Schicksalsschlägen gebeutelt sind, die arm sind, krank oder einsam. Einsparungen in Stadt, Land und Bund reißen Löcher in dieses Netz. Da wo die Kürzungen digitale Angebote wie die Online-Beratung betreffen, werden neben der analogen Nachbarschaft auch virtuelle #Begegnungsräume zerstört.“

Prof. Dr. Rolf Rosenbrock, Vorsitzender des Paritätischen Gesamtverbandes: „Ungleichheit und Armut gefährden die Grundlagen sozialer und politischer Teilhabe. Das Abhängen ganzer Regionen und Stadtteile sowie die massenhafte #Ausgrenzung von Menschen dürfen wir uns nicht länger leisten. Mit dem Bundeshaushalt 2025 muss die Bundesregierung ein Signal gegen #Verdrossenheit und #Resignation setzen - für soziale Rechte und gemeinnützige Angebote, für alle und vor Ort.“

Gerda Hasselfeldt, Präsidentin des Deutschen Roten Kreuzes (DRK): „Eine starke Gesellschaft lebt von aktiven Bürgerinnen und Bürgern, die im Sinne des Gemeinwohls mitgestalten. Wenn soziale Angebote beispielsweise in der Alten-, Kinder- und #Jugendhilfe wegfallen, fallen auch Orte des ehrenamtlichen Engagements und damit des gesellschaftlichen Zusammenhalts weg. Um dem Auseinanderdriften unserer Gesellschaft entgegenzuwirken, muss dringend in den sozialen Sektor investiert und das #Ehrenamt gestärkt werden. Schließlich ist das Ehrenamt das Rückgrat unserer Gesellschaft. Daran zu sparen wäre fatal.“

Rüdiger Schuch, Präsident der Diakonie Deutschland: „Die Gestaltung des Bundeshaushalts wirkt sich auf das Vertrauen der Menschen in die Demokratie aus. Weitere Kürzungen bei sozialpolitischen Leistungen und bei der Förderung von Freiwilligem Engagement im Bundeshaushalt 2025 sind demokratiegefährdend und nicht akzeptabel. Wer stattdessen die soziale Arbeit in den Wohlfahrtsverbänden stärkt und in den Sozialstaat investiert, sichert die Demokratie und unterstützt konkret den gesellschaftlichen Zusammenhalt.“

Abraham Lehrer, Präsident der Zentralwohlfahrtsstelle der Juden in Deutschland (#ZWST): „Mit den Krisen der vergangenen Jahre haben die Bedarfe im Bereich #Integration und #Migration stark zugenommen. Die zivilgesellschaftlichen Beratungsstrukturen sind diesen Herausforderungen erfolgreich entgegengetreten. Aus der Erfahrung der Integration jüdischer #Kontingentflüchtlinge wissen wir: Die Unterstützung und Befähigung gesellschaftlicher #Teilhabe ist eine Langzeitaufgabe und erfordert verlässliche Strukturen. Unzureichende #Beratungsstrukturen können gesellschaftliche Spaltung bedeuten und antidemokratische #Ressentiments befeuern.“

Berlin: Gedenken an Kupa Ilunga Medard Mutombo

Vor einem Jahr starb Kupa Ilunga Medard #Mutombo in #Berlin an den Folgen eines brutalen #Polizeieinsatz​es. Zu seinem #Gedenken fand am 6. Oktober eine Kundgebung auf dem #Oranienplatz statt, an dem auch der Bruder des Verstorbenen teilnahm.
