@istack True. When I get my head inside several thousand lines of code written by a young person years (sometimes a decade or so) ago, my brain tries to find the 'structure' or 'pattern' of the code.
Until I understand it, I dare not change it. Unless the company is prepared to budget for a total re-write which may not be do-able in the time-frame. That's when I punt it back to the BAs who can work out (in theory) how it *should* work.
