For some reason I was curious about the history of the pot noodle instant noodles snack in the UK.
Introduced in the UK by Golden Wonder in 1977 (very punk rock) then bought by Unilever in 1995 who then later had to remove a series of TV adverts declaring it "the slag of all snacks".
Are we a post pot noodle culture now?
I think I was more incredulous towards flavoured instant mash.

Figured I'd pick up some Pot Noodles while there as some are 70p, one of the flavours is the Chow Mein one.
As shown in the pic, they're 70p. Typically not in my local branch where they're still £1.
