Very cool sky today! Not a lot to report today, just checking in.

#tootEveryDay #postEveryDay Almost missed Sunday! But it's 10 pm here so it still counts!
Did you ever wish that hot cider or punch was thick and satisfying instead of thin and watery? No? To be honest, I didn't think of that either.
But if you want to find out, try making Blåbärssoppa (pronounced blow bar zoppa) or another type of starch-thickened fruit soup. I made it because I wanted something unexpected for a soup potluck today and it was a total crowd pleaser.
I used apple juice instead of water, and swapped 1/4 of the (American) blueberries for cranberries (and skipped the lemon juice) because European blueberries have a more intense flavor compared to our relatively insipid ones. Cranberries punch it up a bit. -
Day 3 of #TootEveryDay #PostEveryDay
Last night I went on a moonlight alley bike ride with a few folks. 🌃 🚴 "Best gravel riding in the city" hahaha
Here's us taking a break in a park under the waning gibbous moon. 🌖 #BikeTooter -
Day 2 of #TootEveryDay #PostEveryDay !!
I've been making slab-constructed mugs lately because I haven't had the spoons to clean up the pottery wheel. Slab pottery is a social activity because you can work at the same table as others and chat with people while working so that's nice sometimes. I also really enjoy the deceptive simplicity of slab construction- it's easy to understand and get started in, very hard to master. Edit: I don't have a slab roller or extruder- the only tools I use are my hands and a sharp wooden stick, so I'm doing this in hard mode- it's fun!
One of my favorite simple decoration techniques: paint contrast-colored slip or underglaze on the veiny side of a leaf and press onto finished but still wet piece. The leaf burns off in the bisque, and then you can apply a translucent glaze to make the texture really pop.

I used to post a lot more on here when I first joined. Over time, as I started following more and more great accounts/people, my use of social media became more passive. There was always someone else to read or watch, and besides what do I have to offer when others are so talented and dedicated?
But I've realized lately that if we want the fediverse to remain truly social media, everyone needs to post, not just the experts and micro celebrities that everyone follows.
So I'm going to try to post something every day. My own thoughts, my own art, not just boosting stuff or replying to others. Day 1! #PostEveryDay #TootEveryDay
