@kaasbaas and don't think we are immune in #SouthAfrica . If you look at the T's & C's of the Banks, Cell Networks and other Call-Centers, you will find that data 'may be' analysed in 3rd countries and although I can't prove it, I would not be surprised if they are using the Amazon Call-Center Tech. Which, according to my interpretation of the #POPI Act #POPIA is illegal. Profiling, processing in a 3rd Country, Mood Analysis etc.
