You know about Hot Ones? Where they interview a celebrity while eating increasingly spicy chicken wings?
Pon no Michi no Michi!「ぽんのみち」へのみち！, literally Path of the Path of the Path of Pon is where the girls from the anime interview/chitchat while playing the game Mahjong Soul.
It's hilarious when during a introspective part of the interview , the Uchida Maaya-voiced catgirl character in the game Ichi-hime goes Pon-nya and the interviewee gets distracted and says Pon-nya too. Then everyone gets distracted and says Pon-nya, and they joke a whole before finding their way back to the interview.

For this week's Pon no Michi, The Way of Pon, the not-playing-mahjong anime.
The special guest cast was 中田 花奈 (Nakada Kana) as 中田 奈花 (Nakada Naka). The singer of the Opening Theme voiced Riche's maid, named after herself with the kanji swapped. :meowthinking:

Pon no Michi, the Cute Girls Doing Cute Things ( Mahjong ) anime that barely has Mahjong playing in it. This week's episode was mostly barbecue :meow_hungry_anim:
Hida Beef is amazing, by the way. Their highest A5 beef wins way more competitions than Kobe Beef. I had Hida Beef in Hida, and Kobe Beef in Kobe, and IMO Hida wins by a lot. I had it in one of those butcher shops w/ a restaurant upstairs. :neocat_reach_drool:

It looks like there is not going to be a simulcast for Pon no Michi. Looks like Crunchyroll isn't going to pick it up. RIP, looks like I'm not covering this show.

#PonNoMichi is off to a decent start. Not fully sure what tone they're going for, but the character interactions are nice.
Also, wow, their bra budget must be huge.

Anyways, Pon no Michi seems like a cute little show about Mahjong so far. Though I will argue it is gunning for the spot of worst anime OP song of 2024 pretty hard out the gate.
Seriously, what was with that? Random harsh grindy noises in the song, the electronic voices going severely off key in grating ways repeatedly, just what were they thinking? If this beats a three episode rule for me, I'll need to skip the song EVERY time no question.

Every time I look at the characters for #PonNoMichi, it feels weird because it's rare for a slice of life anime to have every female character be busty but I guess that's what happens when they're designed by the guy who did #thequintessentialquintuplets.
