I'm setting up a small box for a TV. I wanted to avoid a DM that will only autologin my user. I saw https://vincent.bernat.ch/en/blog/2021-startx-systemd in #PlanetDebian that uses a systemd unit to let #logind do its work.

It took me a while to realize I cannot use there vt7 and have to use vt8 as in the example. I'm still not sure why.

Using #icewm as the desktop. I mostly need to run Firefox (maybe: and/or Kodi) and an occasional terminal. So it's simple and intuitive enough.
