OK. My pinhole was rubbish. But the people were lovely - especially the lady who gave me a pair of eclipse glasses, so I could see the thing properly.

I made a thing.

It's been on the "to make" list for a while. And it has been "nearly done" for a while, too.

I'm quite fond of tin-can pinhole cameras for capturing the sun's path over several months. But I'm also impatient. So I wrote some wobbly code to make some synthetic solarigraphs...

Ik gebruik een kartonnetje met een gaatje er in, laat de zon daar doorheen schijnen en projecteer het beeld op een papiertje.

Beter nog: Beplak een wat groter gat in het kartonnetje met aluminiumfolie en je kunt met een speld en wat prutsen de grootte van het gaatje regelen.

Ook een optie: Beplak een nóg wat groter gat met alufolie en maak een rijtje gaatjes op verschillende groottes, dan kun je kiezen op het juiste moment.

Het is een pinhole camera.

Tento solárograf byl upevněn na větvi trnkového keře. Na výsledném obrázku je krásně vidět pohyb větve. Naštěstí, ta větev byla maličká a poměrně pevná, takže výsledkem je jakési chaotické chvění. Čekal jsem, že na solárografii bude zaznamenán i stožár vysokého napětí, který byl přímo před ní. Zdá se ale, že v jinak otevřené krajině je prostě Slunce tak silné, že stožár úplně zanikl.
