I'm impressed at the graphics so far, I've been able to watch videos and naturally I tested #hercules for #ibm 370 #mvs a la #tk5 and the improvement over the #Pi3B alone had me order an #OrangePi #orange_pi_5 / #Pi5 16GB
Most of my daily software is available on ARM, except for official #GoogleChrome and #VMWare Horizon- I haven't started with x86 emulation/conversion but the #Pi5 I have coming is 2.5GHz, a massive improvement over the 1.5GHz #Pi4B and the 1.2GHz #Pi3B so I'll happily wait!

@nyanotech @gsuberland #NVMe is #PCIe which will require a whole PCIe toot complex, which is much more expensive and electrically demanding than SATA and espechally USB 2.0.
Personally, booting from USB is the most important feature for the @[email protected] #Pi3B+ & #Pi3A+ and up - including #CM3+ [lite] and #CM4 [S][lite]...

@lunareclipse I mean I'd expect performance of that smartphone to be on-par with a @[email protected] #Pi3B with no added heatsink fitted to it...
So unless you want to make it a #clickfarm #bot #phone, it's less hassle to just get a somewhat recent #ThinClient and abuse that as a low-powered server.
I have one of them and at €0,62/kWh, a 2W SoC is the most reasonable option to use either @ubuntu / #UbuntuServer or any other #linux.
Plus, it's a regular-ass #amd64 system.

@aallan @[email protected] @ancientjames next thing someone's gonna port #OpenRA to the #GamePi43 [#Pi3B+ / #Pi4B] and have meetups where people will have some tournament doing 1vs1 plays.

@lcruggeri @juliank @[email protected] not to mention:
#RasbperryPi's since the #Pi3B / #Pi3A+ support #USB- and in the case of the #CM4 even #PCIe Booting including #NVMe & SATa-HBAs...
Thanks in part to @geerlingguy ...
