I came across this wall art of Philips (Filips) van Horne. If I got this right, he was a local count when the Netherlands were occupied by Spain. But him and some others weren't too happy, especially when the Spanish Inquisition unexpectedly turned up.
Long story short: people revolted, Filips and his homies got their heads chopped off and we very slowly but violently broke up with Spain.
