    As this is a passive mixer, the performance depends on source and sink impedance, so YMMV.

    They just combine the audio paths with variable resistors and a small series resistor to avoid shorting the two sources.

    After playing with it a bit, the main issue of this design is that changing volume on one channel affects the volume of the other channel. One channel loads the other minimally if it is set to 50% (highest impedance). One channel with bass kill enabled and volume set to min or max will actually boost bass of the other channel.

    If a source disables its output driver (no audio, power saving) this will affect the volume of the other channel, too.
