Protože mi jde pomalu ale jistě do kytek #Android #TVbox v obýváku, tak se chci zeptat, než koupim #OSMC #Vero, jestli někdo neprovozujete něco jinýho funkčního.

Ten #X96max co mám teď z Ali byl víceméně celou dobu tu a tam problémovej a má problémy s přehříváním.

Nebo možná rovnou #Philips telka (sorry, bez #Ambilight nejedu 😀) co by to uměla bez boxu? 😁

V principu potřebuju #Kodi, #SteamLink a způsob, jak pouštět věci z #Tidal ..

I migrated computers over the holidays; among other things, I now run #OSMC (a distribution for running #Kodi based on #Debian) on a #RPi4.

I'm using #RetroArch to run games, and #Jellyfin to stream movies and music to Kodi.

@Natanox ne. Den habe ich leider beschlossen mir weg zu sparen dieses Jahr. Evtl ganz spontan wenn nen Ticket frei wird. Aber ich glaube ich brauche das dieses Jahr nicht (auch wenn ich mir das vorgenommen hatte)

Ich fahre auf die Open Source Monitoring #OSMC conference nächste Woche :D das wird glaube ich auch echt cool.

That's three boxes updated to #trixie now. The last one was a bit of a challenge: I run a reasonably full installation on it, including #GNOME and #TeXLive. Two of my partitions, /var and /, were not quite big enough for the installation, so I needed to move some files around.

At least apt advises you and stops if there's insufficient room for the downloads...

Two boxes left, but neither is pure #Debian : #osmc and #RaspberryPiOS (Debian doesn't run on an #RPi5 yet).

@izzy Schon lange Zeit #SuSE ( >20 Jahre , glaube suse 6.2 ). #Debian hatte ich mal eine weile auf Servern eingesetzt . Aber das ist jetzt auch alles SuSE . Nur auf dem Raspi fürs TV läuft ein #OSMC , was auf deb. basiert .

My trusty #yamakawa DVD player finally failed (dried caps) with glibberish video output and I got a 15€ USB DVD drive for my #OSMC #kodi #raspberrypi driven fill-house-with-music-and-light rack instead. While at it, I did some cable-management to reduce the mess.

The #HarmanKardon hk6100/hk6200 are great, cheap, and easy to fix (got them in broken for cheap). The #szone 4 zone mixer was cheap/broken as well and requied some mechanical fix and mainly contact cleaning. Its great to route 4.0 surround sound and a bluetooth receiver and a CD player to 4 different amplifiers (3x harman kardon for different rooms and 1 subwoofer) and adjust volue and tone indivisually. The subwoofer (with built-in amp) was picked up from a pile of electronic junk - it had a radio receiver to be used with a soundbar. I just removed that and connected an analog audio input to the amplifier board.

As usual, the whole setup is a bit overengineered...

I'm now scratching my little grey cells trying to understand even the basic basics of getting #Gluetun up and running with CasaOs. I do not expect success this century.
Jellyfin is running, but #Kodi on another pi running #OSMC doesn't want to cooperate fully. Fortunately the android jellyfin player app on my Chromecast is behaving, but I'd prefer to have a de-Googled set up.
Anyway, I have a long weekend now so time to break everything a few times...
