If you remember #OreImo, My Little Sister Can't Be This Cute, the main girl for a while was Kuroneko a goth loli with a black cat theme.
The anime absolutely didn't show her family's black cat but had this mini cat figurine next to her PC. Absolute disgrace. Needed actual animated cat.
