Playing Lost in Random now. The main game loop is to shoot glowing spots on enemies with slingshot or dash through them in order to draw cards from your deck. Then you roll your dice and based on the value thrown, you get mana to play cards. The average and maximum dice value gets upgraded through the game.
However, slingshot and dash don't hurt enemies. You need to play a card that gives a weapon. But weapons have durability that wears off quickly. As a result, while there are a lot of interesting cards to try out, I rather filled my deck with weapons, so I can always damage enemies (killing them draws cards too) and make combat less tedious. Plus, a lot of cards are useless after first two locations as they are replaced by way more powerful ones.
The #OneThingToChange for me is that I would grant the player a permanent bow and sword, so they always have something that deals damage and that would free their limited deck size for experimentation.

I'd like to start a new thing among the #gamedev community on this platform.
Whenever you finish playing a game, try to think of a one thing you would change to make it more fun. Do not remove features, improve them. This could be a nice practice for game designers and I am also interested in hearing your thoughts.
If you want to participate, please use the hashtag #OneThingToChange. An ideal structure of the toot would be:
1. Which game you're talking about
2. Brief description of a feature you'd like to change
3. Explain how would you change itLooking forward to reading your ideas! I'll share my kickoff in a follow-up toot.
Please boost for reach.
