I mean, I love my animal welfare peeps. And I learn a lot from conferences and meetings. But they are always the same formula: Plenary - parallel sessions with 5 shorter talks - rinse, repeat.At the #NVMO we discussed poems in small groups. That just doesn´t happen at scientific conferences. Maybe it should.

My favorite part of teaching-related conferences: The people who run parallel sessions are educators, interested in actually getting a message across, not just talking at you.
At this week´s #NVMO (Dutch Medical Education Organization) I learned so much from the round tables and workshops- from poetry in education to why (or why not) send students abroad, to what motivates educators.... all in the space of a day in a way that hit home. Love this.

Nu in Maastricht op het drukbezochte #NVMO-congres over wetenschappelijk medisch onderwijs, waar ik samen met andere parent-educators diverse onderdelen ga invullen voor het project van bedenker Anne de la Croix rondom innovatieve en sociale #patiëntparticipatie. Van in gesprek gaan met medici, een fringe (theater) tot referent zijn. Drukke dagen maar zo belangrijk voor de #transitie van deze sector.

Tijdens het congres verzorgen we op donderdag een ronde tafel als een soort kick-off. #levenlangleren
