NASA & MIT’s NEW Nuclear Rocket Could Get Humans to Mars in Half the Time
The journey to Mars just got a lot shorter. NASA and MIT are developing a "Centrifugal Nuclear Thermal Rocket" that uses liquid uranium to achieve three times the thrust of chemical engines. This tech could slash a one-way trip to the Red Planet to just 3–6 months, significantly reducing radiation exposure for future crews.
