Congrats to Penrith, what a record. Despite losing to Melbourne twice in the season they arm wrestled their way to victory tonight nullifying Hughes and Munster, forcing Melbourne to only play defense, with almost no way to attack. Keeping Penrith to just 14 points was a hell of an effort though, they dominated every aspect of the game. Hell of a Grand Final. Proud of the Storm regardless, what a year it’s been.

What an intense first half of the #NRLGrandFinal. Penrith clearly dominating and if they were playing any other team they might have scored four or more tries. Their attacks have been relentless forcing so many more tackles from the Storm and limiting their movements. The 10-6 score line in Penrith’s favor reflects the toughness of the game. Melbourne looks spent already. We’ll see in the second half now

Nicely poised at the half in the #NRL Grand Final. We picked teams to support a few years back - as you do - and my wife chose #Penrith simply because the panther logo reminded her of one of the cats we used to have. She'd have preferred for #Brisbane not to have scored just before the half, and isn't convinced they actually did, but, for me, a close game makes for a better game.
