Starfield collection Novafield is awesome! I tried Gate to Stars and Odyssey, and they were okay. But with both i eventually broke my saves. Not necessarily their fault - Starfield IS buggy - and i had to do a full restart.

i have kept a set of mods i always want to have, and noticed that Novafield had many of them included, so i decided once again to redo whole modlist based on it.

Some surprises: Things sometimes happen much closer to planets, leading to stunning views. Space battles are *very* much faster, like old Tie Fighter dogfights. And leaving Neon doesn't fly through the city 😄.

There is also feeling of coherence in the collection. There is typically mods from not so many authors, but more of them from each author, and lots of patch mods from the collection author. It's regularly updated, last is two weeks old.

And after two weeks, the save has not yet broken down!? There has been some increase in stutter, and the usual occasional random crashes.

I DO like this modded Starfield, and i think i'll be playing it occasionally, like i return to Fallouts and Elder Scrolls. I just wonder why modders are the ones to make it awesome. Bethesda has (micro)softed too much.

One more thing: the Bethesda's own in-game mods manager Creations is a piece of crap. I did download one mod from there. UI is horrible, slow, half bottom of the whole UI clips away sometimes, non-functional scrollbars, labels get lost, etc... I just stick with Nexus Mods. But even then the in-game manager sabotages the modlist, requiring me to individually enable plugins, on an UI which is half clipped away.
