I know people like the people in this book. But those people are not those people. The BSD Unix community, hacker community, and web development community evolved differently than what's portrayed in this book. While the island of Malta has big chain hotels, none of them are in this book. Also, John Carpenter never got the chance to film "The Stars My Destination."
Despite our best efforts, though, billionaires are very real.
