    Here's how we estimate the failure criterion for glacier ice from Greenland crevasses in our recent #NNF_PRECISE preprint.

    We find places where crevasses are just starting to open. i.e. along the upstream edge of crevasse fields. We therefore apply edge detection to a new crevasse density map based on ArcticDEM from Chudley et al.
