I have updated the🇧🇪 #Belgium 🚂 Railway Diagram trilogy for 2026. These three diagrams are based on a 30° structure in order to fit the numerous radial lines to #Brussels. They attempt to untangle the many hourly services around Brussels. However, by 2026, some of the S trains had been somewhat systematised.There are weekday and weekend versions. In addition, a third diagram shows all single P trains of #SNCB #NMBS.

In the early 2000s, in #Belgium 🇧🇪, one could still see loco-hauled services like the one on the photo: an #SNCB #NMBS Class 62 diesel, working a train composed of #M2 type cars. The #Geraardsbergen to #Gent line in western Belgium was one of the places where one could still witness this type of operation.

Today, #SNCB #NMBS Class 08 #Siemens #DesiroML units work the nearly hourly “Local”, yet in the early 2000s, AM41 diesels were in charge, as seen here on my pictures taken back then, i.a. at #Virton.
