Proiectul Apache NetBeans a lansat versiunea 31 a mediului său de dezvoltare open-source și cross-platform. Această actualizare aduce îmbunătățiri majore pe partea de dezvoltare Java, depanare (debugging), integrare cu Maven și Gradle, dar și suport pentru cele mai noi versiuni de JDK.
✨ Noutățile principale din NetBeans 31:
🐛 Breakpoints pentru expresii Lambda în Java:
• Una dintre cele mai așteptate funcționalități de către dezvoltatori: debugger-ul permite acum setarea de puncte de oprire (breakpoints) direct în interiorul expresiilor Lambda, făcând depanarea codului funcțional mult mai ușoară fără a fi nevoie de refactorizări temporare.🔍 Completare avansată a codului și modul LSP:
• Suport extins pentru declarația import module în autocompletare și o mai bună gestionare a numelor de module în serverul LSP (Language Server Protocol).
• Opțiune nouă de configurare pentru a preveni inserarea automată a parametrilor metodelor la selectarea acestora din lista de completare.📦 Actualizări pentru instrumentele de build (Maven & Gradle):
• Maven: Actualizat la versiunea 3.9.16, iar exec-maven-plugin urcă la v3.6.3. Adăugată o opțiune globală pentru specificarea unui fișier settings.xml personalizat și recunoașterea corectă a flag-urilor de compilare paralele (-T / --threads=).

I find it utterly ridiculous (and depressing) that despite the latest iteration of the #Netbeans IDE being version 29, it still doesn't understand contractions and flags the part of "didn't" to the left of the apostrophe as a spelling mistake.

I've started to learn #Java over the past few days. Not the first time I've looked at it, but now my #Python is more advanced I'm finding Java makes more sense to me. Perhaps I'll reach the point of becoming vaguely useful in a while!
As far as IDEs are concerned, #Jetbrains is the obvious one, not just because I use #PyCharm Pro, though familiarity certainly helps. But I've decided to try out #eclipse properly (used in the past with #PyDev which I did not get on with) and also #Netbeans.

I have responded to a user on the KDE forums who wasn't receiving useful assistance for a NetBeans scaling issue and have provided information in a GitHub issue (where the OP didn't reply with requested information) to help diagnose a NetBeans scaling issue.
I feel all warm and squishy inside.
This feeling will remain until I realise I have been unhelpful in both situations.
