In a taxonomy of young #conservatives, Sam Adler-Bell in the New Republic pointed out that these #NatCons (as they’re called) are among a variety of alt ideas popping up to *intellectualize* #Trumpism. But, in recent yrs, they have taken on a larger cache. NYT columnist David Brooks, dismayed by the conference’s rise, would in 2021 call NatCon attendees the “terrifying future of the American right.”

Someone I know just pointed out that NatCons is entirely the wrong contraction for “National Conservatives” and we should just go with Nat Cs instead.
And now I feel dumb for not thinking of that.

I’ve been at the National Conservatism conference these past couple of days and so far it’s been brilliant. Honestly, I’ve never felt so represented in my life! So many amazing things have happened, I don’t even know where to begin, but let’s start with the best piece of propaganda I’ve encountered since my last blog post. -
