"Sur le papier, l’idée pourrait sembler séduisante. Mais en vrai, comment ne pas y voir un déplacement de problème. Le CV classique a ses défauts, mais il a un avantage. Il standardise un minimum. Le CV narratif promet la nuance, mais il introduit une nouvelle variable explicative, la capacité à produire un texte qui sonne bien, qui sonne juste. Et cette variable n’est pas distribuée uniformément (...).
Un récit est difficile à vérifier, et ouvre la porte à des comités qui peuvent dire ce qu’ils veulent, ou à des candidats qui peuvent affirmer beaucoup. La critique n’est pas que les gens mentent, c’est que le format rend plus coûteux de distinguer le vrai du plausible "

Interesting point about how the research community can be unsure of change, but how by working closely with them in a collaborative way, changes can be implemented - such as the #NarrativeCV format - which is now being supported by #UKRI to move to wider adoption, and alternative uses to (which avoid duplication)
