Technically, I'm about 1500 words behind my #NaNoWrMo progress goal right now, but I will catch up. I am at 42,644 words and only need to meet my daily goal for three more days. I will do this if it kills me.
Will that finish the book? Ha ha ha no. I will probably have another 30,000 words to go but that's like a normal month for me.

Wrote one of the most romantic lines I've ever written today.
'It doesn't have to be a lie.'
I mean it probably means more in context, but ...

Yesterday, as we got back a bit to normal after our house guests left on Monday, I managed 2k words for my #NaNoWrMo project. This morning I read that reality had again cought up with my fantasy - another country, not Germany, made and enacts the law I designed for my project. Well, as I know the Germans they will not hesitate to copy it as soon as possible.

I'm hardly here these days, mostly busy on my non writing/translating account. Also I don't write much for my #NaNoWrMo project - and think about quitting, also quitting the forums. I feel I am in La-La-Land there - my heart is to heavy listening to the news from #Palestine all day.

7k words into my #NaNoWrMo project and I am wondering if I should not have started with the other sister's POV. Okay, let's see where it will land me now.

I keep seeing people on all social media platforms talking about doing #NaNoWrMo this year, and I'm sitting here almost wishing I was doing it, too. Except we're three days in and I genuinely have no ideas whatsoever, so I feel like it would be kind of silly for me to even attempt it at this point.

I have completed #NaNoWrMo #Day1 with 6,300 words!! Am I a bit of an overachiever? Maybe but I just want more story so I must write it!!! Also, my goal is 2500 words a day, cause I'm aiming for 75000 words by the 30th so I'm trying to get ahead as I have a few family things and busy days coming up real soon! (Like early Thanksgiving on the 5th)

My best #NaNoWrMo advice, as someone who's won four times: Have a big enough daily goal that it buys you some days off. I used to write 2000 words a day during nano, which gave me five days off I could deploy when i needed them, or schedule them as appropriate. These days, my normal daily writing goal is 2500 words, which means I can take 10 days off in November, which gives me every weekend and Thanksgiving with an extra day to use if I need to.

As #NaNoWrMo approaches, I'll post my contrarian opinion well ahead of time.
Nano ain't for me. I've done it three times, and each time I haul myself over the finish line at 50k, I'm exhausted, burnt out, and don't write for at least a month afterwards. By the time I'm ready to start writing again, I've completely lost context and interest in the story. I've "won" nano 3 times, but I've finished none of them.
Props to the people who do enjoy it, and I think it's a great time to try to build a daily writing habit into your life, but if you're feeling left out by the nano excitement, you're not alone.

Didn’t manage to participate in #NaNoWrMo this year due to work commitments, but really enjoying getting updates from my partner on their regency lesbian romance (a spin-off from the 3 part regency bisexual erotica series they’re currently trying to get published).

Doing my darndest to NaNo this year.
Here’s some bits from my WIP:
1. Steampunk mecha armor suits
2. A knight struggles to decide if duty is more important than honor
3. Shadowy (literally) assassins
4. Badass battlefield scenes
5. A floating city -

Catching up with #NaNoWrMo after a few down days used to fill me with shame. Now I just think about picking up my pen and pushing the story forward. Another 1850 words done today. I'm happy with that #amwriting
