HCFs for UV need to have VERY thin glass structures, which makes them difficult to fabricate. We are essentially making very long glass bubbles in a 🔥2000🔥degree furnace, and hoping to make perfect, symmetrical tubular walls of a few 100 #nanometers thick! It is a challenge!
