    #Solaris #Rust update: attempting to get #mrustc to build on Solaris 10 1/13 SPARC, seems to be making initial progress. If we can get that to work, we may be able to bootstrap a reasonably recent rustc. Does Rust have a tier 4 list of architectures maintained by one girl and stupid levels of "committing to the bit"? Cause if they don't, they should, just to put sparc64-sun-solaris2.10 on it

    Most valuable thing in #ppc64le #guix for me now would be having a working #rust package

    Many packages (indirectly) got dependent on rust over time and those can't be upgraded anymore, and the list is getting larger by the day.

    The actual error is in building #mrustc and is low level enough that it is way out of my league.

    Updated in my overlay (git.stikonas.eu/andrius/gentoo). Now can be bootstrapped from C starting with version 1.54 rather than 1.39.
