#monduck — Public Fediverse posts

So in the interest of being inclusive of all ducks for the #monDuck hashtag, I did a little research into what counts as a duck.

And you'd be surprised that it's actually quite hard to narrow down, scientifically.

You either end up with a really narrow definition that excludes a lot of things that, to me, are obviously ducks.

Or you make it so wide that it includes swans and geese, which to me are obviously not ducks.

Which of these would you be happy to see tagged as #duck ?

So. I know #monDuck isn't a thing. I know #duckMonday isn't a thing. But we can make it happen!

I have taken a lot of photos of ducks and I'm fully prepared to use them.

Actually #mondayMallard may already be a thing, who knows?
