@nick Switching to #EV was one of my best decisions of 2025. I haven’t gone so far as to charge it on solar for free, but the cost savings in maintenance and off-peak electricity costs vs gasoline are huge. #MME

@BNetzA die Netzbetreiber müssen ja jetzt Smart Meter Gateways entsprechen nachrüsten. Es ist weder #nachhaltig noch wirtschaftlich, dass sie dabei vorhandene mMe austauschen gegen eine neue weil sie keine Lust haben einfach nur das SmartmeterGateway nachzurüsten.

Mein mMe konnte war nachrüstbar, trotzdem habe ich ein komplett neues iMsys bekommen.

Wiring up a 240 14-50 outlet for my wife's new car. Trying to do everything roughly to code. Had to put it in conduit because of the legacy of the #Chicago fire. Had to use a $125 #gfci breaker because this is a garage. For some reason. Gfci is also on the #evse, so I'm worried about nuisance tripping. I'm an electrical engineer, right, so I can learn this stuff. Right?

Lowes only sells spools of 6/3 8/1 cable. A bit spendy. I used only about 4 feet.
