Tubular Bells - has it been 50 years already?
My #FirstSpin of my copy of the recent re-release of this landmark album that nobody knew what to make of when Richard Branson selected it to be the first published by Virgin Records.
Then The Excorcist went on and used it in the soundtrack and boom! Everyone's head spun and it took off with over 500 different versions and pressings (according to Discogs).
(Ah, it just got to the Grand Piano etc. instrument sequence.. nice)
And, this was my first new #vinyl purchase in over 30 years. A fine choice if I do say so myself.
(And here come the Tubular Bells...yes, I type slow when listening to music)
