The #miniware #mhp50 tiny hotplate I was using for PCB preheating started showing cooling fan problems. It suddenly stopped spinning. I took it apart, applied 5V directly and it worked fine. Reassembled and it worked. But after 20 or so minutes it started fading (?!) and I think it stopped. The internet is quiet on this issue so either I’m using it wrong or for a bad unit? The fan itself is a bespoke part with a 3-screw shroud and I haven’t found direct replacement. Maybe #followerpower helps?
