  1. The north of Scotland is wearing a nice fascinator today…

Satellite imagery decoded from #MeteorM2-4 with some new software I’m experimenting with (Satdump).

  2. This second more westerly pass of #MeteorM2-3 nicely shows both areas of low pressure to our east and west, squeezing the ridge of high pressure over the UK.

  3. With the bulk of the UK still clear, pressure is now falling with low pressure to our east and west.

This is the latest image captured from #MeteorM2-3 this morning, clearly showing the low to our east. Cloud is feeding into eastern counties from the N. Sea and approaching SW England.

  5. My greatest #Lockdown project was the setting up of a #satellite receiving station to decode #NOAA and #Meteor #weather satellite images.
I’m sad to announce that the #MeteorM2 satellite has failed, and I have switched off the decoding of these superb images.
    Here is today’s #NOAA18 image.

  6. Hands up who can spot the change in airmass rushing in from the Atlantic?
    Infrared #satellite images from #MeteorM2 and #NOAA18

  7. This cloud to the SW really needs watching as we head through tomorrow and overnight. Most models push it to our south, but some suggest a prolonged period of #snow for southwestern coastal counties overnight Tuesday into Wednesday.
    #MeteorM2 thermal and #NOAA18 visible.

  8. Nice capture from #MeteorM2 of the little low over SE England this evening, that brought freezing #rain, #sleet, #snow and #thundersnow as it formed over Southern #England and intensified.

  9. #Satellite images today from #MeteorM2, #NOAA19 and #NOAA18 showing the clear boundary marking the Arctic air flooding south over the UK, with frequent convective showers over the sea behind it.

  10. Not as good as Pablo’s but I’m still quite pleased with my own #MeteorM2 infrared #satellite image capture this morning.

  11. Impressive #InfraRed #satellite imagery from #MeteorM2 and #NOAA15 this morning, decoded at 07:27 and 08:18 UTC by yours truly.
Notice the unusual circular arrangement of #showers over #Scotland in the first image.
