I gotta say, I think some of the design elements are kinda cool and would fit into a Matrix-like world, like how, when you enter a car, that type of car suddenly starts appearing everywhere because the game can only load 18 car types at once.
I had a weird nightmare where I was trapped in that kind of world and figured it out through the bugs and design characteristics.

What a cool video about how GTA3 optimized its memory usage on the PS2 (yes, I know, boring 🤓).
It reminds me of the optimizations made on RollerCoaster Tycoon, where technical limits were part of the game design.
Now it feels like technical limits feel like a burden for creativity and not the opposite.
Its also wild that people are porting it to the Dreamcast.
