As I suspected, #McKinley’s floating palettes are polarising. (Although I’ve had more praise than complaints overall!)
Anyone used any great implementations of dockable palettes? (Adobe’s don’t count, I don’t think they’re great!)
I’m not going to go back to sidebars, but some kind of options/flexibility might work, if it doesn’t get in the way!

Die schönsten Attentate des letzten Jahrhunderts Nr. 15: Leon Frank Czolgosz vs. William McKinley (#POTUS No. 25)
Leon Frank #Czolgosz wurde 1873 in #Alpena als Sohn polnischer Immigranten geboren. Er hatte sieben Geschwister. Die Familie zog nach #Detroit und später nach #Ohio. Dort verließ Czolgosz bereits im Alter von zehn Jahren den elterlichen Haushalt, um mit zweien seiner Brüder bei der American Steel and Wire Company zu arbeiten. Dort kam es oft zu #Streiks, worauf die Brüder entlassen wurden.
Mit 16 Jahren arbeitete er in einer Glasfabrik. Nachdem er mehrfach Auseinandersetzungen zwischen streikenden #Arbeitern und der #Polizei erlebt hatte, erlitt er 1898 einen Nervenzusammenbruch und kehrte zu seiner Familie zurück. Allerdings lehnte er ihre katholischen Anschauungen ab. Darüber geriet er oft in Streit mit seiner Stiefmutter und entfremdete sich gegenüber seiner Familie immer mehr. Er wurde ein Anhänger der Anarchistin Emma #Goldman und besuchte viele ihrer öffentlichen Reden. Unter ihrem Einfluss begeisterte er sich für die Idee des #Anarchismus.
Als der italienische Anarchist Gaetano #Bresci am 29. Juli 1900 den italienischen König #Umberto I. ermordete, war Czolgosz davon so stark beeindruckt, dass er beschloss, seinerseits den US-amerikanischen Präsidenten zu töten.

Latest testflight build of #McKinley, my SF Symbols creation app, now has an animation preview palette. Like the regular preview, this uses Apple's SF Symbol rendering, so you should get an accurate preview of how the symbol will behave in your app.
(Not supported yet, the new Draw on/off animation type.)

De overeenkomsten tussen #DonaldTrump en zijn grote voorbeeld #WilliamMcKinley. #McKinley was dol op handelstarieven (50%) en heeft met geweld diverse stukken buitenland aan de #VerenigdeStaten toegevoegd, zoals de #Filipijnen, #PuertoRico, het Pacifische eiland #Guam en #Hawaii. Tevens zette deze president de eerste stappen voor de aanleg van het #Panamakanaal.
O, en hij werd uiteindelijk vermoord tijdens een massale rally, maar dat zal wel een verschil zijn. 😊
