A Max Headroom in Every Terminal!

"I took my favorite video loop of Max, and extracted the frames. Then I converted each frame to ascii, and wrote the whole thing to a big array. The script just iterates through the array and prints each frame. There are no external dependencies - it is all just one big file with the data in-line."

Oh, I tried the HERE WeGo app this morning. I was not terribly impressed by CoMaps and decided to give it a go.

I like some of it.

I dislike some of it.

It's about 60/40 now, in favor of liking it.

One thing that I don't like about it is that I'm unable to check my entire route in Android Auto. Yes, I can easily check my entire route at the time of asking for navigation, but later??? It does not seem possible.

I've also run into some glitches. At one point, it kept repeating the same direction over and over, and it felt like Max Headroom was giving me directions.

"Who's Max Headroom?"

Be quiet now, sweet child of spring.

I like that the speed limits indications I've seen so far appear to be accurate. (Google Maps, in my area, is a complete mess with this.) I like that it alarms you if you go over the limit. I like that it shows the *coming* limit changes.
