Mas é claro que não, por dois motivos: Mangione não é pobre, a família dele tá no patamar que podemos chamar de burguês, embora não seja o patamar que comanda a política pública do EUA; Mas, principalmente pq a classe trabalhadora CLARAMENTE se identificou com as motivações dele. Matá-lo faria dele um mártir perfeito pra fazer explodir a indignação da classe explorada de forma incontrolável. Os representantes legais das classes dominantes sabem o que fazem pra apassivar a justa fúria dos trabalhadores.

what you should take away from the current state of #Mangione's trial isn't that he got away with it on technicalities, but that #police and #news #media will #conspire to #fabricate #evidence against whoever is a convenient #scapegoat

Three thoughts out of the #LuigiMangione #court #hearings...
1) the #police clearly didn't take the #arrest seriously (they thought it was just a weirdo with a forged ID, possibly just harassing a homeless man), and botched the initial #investigation. This will be useful for his defense #lawyer.
2) #Mangione giving police fake names and a fake #ID shows he either purposefully got himself arrested, or is very insane. It's also possible he was copying the actual #UnitedHealthcare #CEO #assassin, passing off the names and IDs he was known to have, getting caught with what looked like "evidence". Remember: lots of people sympathize with the shooter. All this could easily be his defense.
3) The more we find out about how he got caught, the more I'm realizing how someone who does this might be able to avoid being caught, leaving the act to speak for itself, blending in with everyone else who sympathized, and creating plausible deniability it they are ever arrested.

The defense team say Mangione’s case has been discussed by ofcls in public appearances related to “a recent, tragic, high-profile murder,” an apparent reference to the killing of conservative influencer & #Trump ally #CharlieKirk.
