Started my first job with a business casual dress code (albeit emphasis on the casual I think) and I've quickly discovered that off-the-rack clothes make me look like a slob!
Fortunately, basic tailoring techniques are very, very easy to do. (The most important part, imo, is getting the right thread. Especially for pants, I'd recommend quilting weight at least.)
