The Office of Student Engagement and Belonging invites you to our #BannedBookFair on Thursday, March 13, from 2–3:30 PM in the McGoldrick Center, 2nd floor lobby.
In partnership with #USMLibraries, #WomenAndGenderStudies, #MaineTransNet, and #BooksAMillion, this event highlights the power of books that have been challenged or banned.
You’ll find:
- Tables of commonly banned books: explore their impact, purchase a copy from #BAM, or learn how to check them out through our #libraries.
- MaineTransNet will be offering resources and information on supporting #LGBTQ+ communities.
- Lecha Bubble Tea will be selling their iconic drinks, including their famous Thai Iced Tea.Join us in celebrating the freedom to read and engage in meaningful conversations about #censorship and representation.
