In 2014 I stumbled upon a documentary that turned out to be an emotional journey that changed how I viewed documentaries overall. That documentary was 'Maidentrip' (2013) and to this day, several rewatches down, I still consider it my all time favorite documentary.
Anyway - this evening I watched 'True Spirit' (2023) on Netflix and it turned out to be so close to the perfect movie for me, that I just had to toot about it. Watch it! You'll be glad you did.
