a big part of my recent japan trip I was quite excited about (and had been doing some prep work for in the run-up to it) was that I planned to do some e-scooter riding (using #LUUP) around #tokyo and #osaka - for ease of getting around to my various out-of-the-way photo spots, and as an activity in its own right. and i definitely wanted to try and record at least some of those rides...

Has anyone used LUUP bikes before? I've tried renting two this morning and I keep getting a FAILED TO UNLOCK error message from their horribly slow-ass app. Yet they still charge me money, of course.
