Ya he empezado otro proyecto, esta vez una braga para el cuello con punto de arroz.
La lana es de 3'5-4, por eso he puesto dos hebras a la vez.
A ver si al ir avanzando se aprecia más, aunque ya me ha dicho mi madre que con este tipo de lana no se aprecian tanto las formas del punto.

Tantalisingly close to finishing a sock (my first ever!) on a round loom.. but I lost yarn chicken and have to wait untill I can buy more of the same.
It's a tube sock with ribbed cuff and as I used a loom, that somehow ~feels~ like cheating?* even though I am definitely a beginner and only just realised the pattern is apparently advanced 👀😑

Tilanne on muuttunut. Toisiksi pienin kehikko onkin hieman liian iso säärystimien tekemiseen. En kuitenkaan purkanut työtä, vaan teenkin tästä tavallisen kaulaliinan. Tästä tulee putkimainen, mutta ainakin tulisi olemaan lämmin.
Teen tätä triplalangalla ja "ainaoikee" ei onnistunutkaan. U-silmukat ei ole ongelma, purl eli nurja on. Triplalangalla se on huomattavasti vaikeampaa ja työläämpää. Päädyin tekemään pelkästään e-silmukoita.
Teen kyllä säärystimet, mutta sitten kun tuo kämmekäs on valmis ja kehikko vapautuu. Säärystimiin pitää vaihtaa eri langat sitten.

Toinen kämmekäs on jo hyvässä vaiheessa. Paitsi, että lanka pääsi loppumaan. Pitää ostaa yksi kerä lisää ja puolittaa se kahdeksi pieneksi palloksi. Enempää ei tarvita.
Sillä välin voisin aloittaa säärystimien teko ja tällä kertaa "ainaoikeaa" neuletta pinnalle. Tässä työssä käyttäisin u-silmukoita ja nurjia silmukoita. Samalla voisin tuhota noita vanhoja Nalle-lankoja. Pitää testata teenkö tuplalangalla vai tripla.

Loom knitting kuormittaa mun oikeaa kättä. Mun pitää muistaa pitää taukoja välissä.
Luultavasti erilainen työkalu voisi auttaa tähän. En vain tiedä saako paksumpivartisia loom knitting koukkuja jostain. Nuo OG-koukut on aika ohkasia. Vähän kuin normi virkkuukoukku.

Lanka: kaksinkertainen Novita Hygge Chunky 068 ja mantelinsävyinen silkki-mohair (jälkimmäinen lanka hukkui villalankaan, ei ollut tarkoitus tulla tähän työhön mukaan, mutta se oli jo kiinni hygge-langassa aiemmasta kokeilusta johtuen) -

36 tappinen ja tupla-chunky näyttäs toimivan. Nyt en vaan malttanut lopettaa, kun tohon jää koukkuun. 😂

Mulla on 2 kerää "chunky"vahvuista villalankaa. Kaverina silkki-mohair.
Aloin työstämään pipoa 41 tappisella kehikolla. Kokeilin ensin yksinkertaisella langalla, mutta tuosta tulee enemmänkin tuubihuivi kuin pipo. Pitää purkaa ja vaihtaa kehikko 36 tappiseen ja työstää pipo tupla-chunkyna.

Nyt sujuu nurjatkin silmukat. Resoriosuus oli mukavan nopea ja helppo tehdä. Vielä pitää harjoitella käsialaa. En hahmota täysin miten langan kireys pitäisi olla. Kokeilin löysää ja langan omaa luontaista kireyttä. Mutta sen tiedän, ettei se suoraan tuosta heti näy onko edelleen liian kireää.
Täytyy vain jatkaa ja luottaa siihen, että harjoitus auttaa tässäkin asiassa.

Kävin tänään Jyväskylän Sokkarissa Sinellissä huvikseen. Siellä oli yllättäen tyhjennysmyynnit menossa. Kyseinen liike ilmoitti, että heidän vuokrasopimus päättyy. Kaikki tuotteet olivat -50%.
Muistin Sinellissä olevan myynnissä noita Loom Knitting kehyksiä, joita olin aiemmin katsonut, mutten raaskinut ostaa vielä kun hinta oli kova. Noin 40 euroa maksaa 4kpl kehikkoa, 4 koukkua, 4 päättelyneulaa sisältävä setti.
No nyt kokeilin onneani ja toivoin löytäväni tämän samaisen setin puoleen hintaan. Siellä se seinällä roikkuikin. Viimeinen kappale ja nappasin heti mukaani. 🤯 Vitsi mikä tuuri!
Nyt oon viimeisen tunnin aikana katsonut YouTubesta tutoriaaleja ja kokeillut jo loomknittaa pienimmällä kehikolla. Pari tekniikkaa hallussa jo. Huomenna jatkuu nurjan silmukan opettelu. Pitäisi ostaa vielä paksumpaa bulkyvahvuista lankaa oikeaa projektia varten.

Mon premier bonnet !

J'ai essayé le crochet, j'ai tenté le tricot "normal" mais vraiment, ça veut pas !
Par contre, depuis mes 8-10ans, j'ai passé des heures à faire des longs tricotins avec ma "bonne femme" tricotin que ma voisine du dessus m'avait donné !

Et l'autre jour, j'ai vu ce maxi lot de tricotins géants chez Emmaüs.
Naaaan je les prends pas ... Et ils ne me sont pas sortis de la tête alors j'y suis retournée et je les ai pris.J'ai qq pelotes de "laine" (je suis allergique à la laine animale +/- fort selon l'animal en question, donc je me contenterai de coton, acrylique et cie) qui traînent donc dans mon bazar créatif.
Une ou deux vidéos sur YouTube et me voilà à tenter un bonnet !Et même s'il a qq défauts (dont un du au changement de crochet en cours de tricotinage) il est chouette ! 😁
A moi les bonnets, les guêtres, les mitaines, les snoods et cie en tricotin !

Today I re-learned that the U-wrap knit stitch is supposed to be done counter-clockwise around the peg instead of clockwise. 😅
But turns out I like the baggier look so I decided to do a whole #sock with that "happy accident" version and cuff-first instead of toe-first!
Plus I did a gathered bind-off like I would for a hat.

I #LoomKnit my first ever pair of #socks! Using a tube sock pattern by LoomAHat and Plymouth Encore Chunky yarns.
I think the reason one is longer than the other is because I realized too late that I'd been doing the U-wrap stitch incorrectly on the first, shorter sock.
But, lesson learned and now I have a new pair of socks to wear around the house! I even started experimenting with my own pattern.

Today I finished one #tuque and made another one start-to-finish! The first is brimless with blue and green sprinkles and a matching pom-pom on top. The second is lavender/mauve with a 2-inch brim.

What does "knit 1, purl 2" mean, anyway? You knit 1 stitch and purl the next 2, then repeat across/around the rest of the row, creating a rib stitch.
And when you do that for a whole hat, it looks like this! Same yarns as the hat I made the other day. Maybe Vanna's Choice?

I was almost finished making this hat yesterday when I accidentally tore a yarn tail sticking out of the top. I couldn't properly close the hat so I tried to sew it closed. And stuck a pom-pom on top, which I was planning to do anyway.
The yarn still looks pretty when worked up, though!
