Do I know anyone in #LondonUK or the nearby areas? I'm looking at a little #WestEnd #theatre getaway as my summer #vacation this July, and would love recommendations of activities and hidden gems.

In particular, any must-try restaurants or great dayhike destinations? Fun museums and galleries beyond the obvious ones? And any queer (especially sapphic but not exclusively) spots not-to-be-missed?

I’d really like to attend the #StandUpToRacism demo to counter the #TommyRobinson march tomorrow but I’m genuinely concerned about safety traveling home to south #LondonUK afterward, given that the #FarRight demo is all in the south part of central London from where my train departs. Bet half the knuckleheads live in #Kent too (sorry Kent folk, I know many of you are great people!)

Also, if the lift is out it is extremely difficult to carry one of those 30kg bikes up the stairs. The number you see abandoned down there speaks to a real lack of common sense in my opinion

I love road #cycling but where I live in southeast #LondonUK you really have to kind of steel yourself to get out there on the bike. You'll be sharing roads with distracted drivers on their phones, mainly looking out for other vehicles, and actual psychopaths who hate you. It requires some guts. Don't feel like doing it everyday.

Does anyone know the details of why the lifts (elevators) at the #Woolwich and #Greenwich foot tunnels under the #Thames are so often out of order? I mean I guess the broad reason is lack of money for maintenance but is there a specific reason, is it something that can be fixed, or is this just a case of crumbling Victorian infra that will never work well?
