Before I actually got into #localisation professionally, I expected my day-to-day work to be exclusively about translating media from one language to another. Perhaps some consulting here and there.

I had no idea that we are also proofreaders, spreadsheet wranglers, reviewers, style evaluators and general, well, *language service providers*. I thought it was all translation!

It seems so obvious now, but I had no idea before I threw myself headfirst into this career.

This makes me unbelievably happy, not the least because it's unfortunately still common in the #gaming industry to not credit #localisation staff, especially freelancers.
