#GregJericho in #TheGuardian writes after #Trump ‘s steel and aluminium tariffs announcement. He writes about #LittleJohnny ‘s ‘historic’ #USAFTA and notes that the trade agreement is not worth the paper it was written on:
“If a free-trade agreement is able to be ignored as a mere scrap of paper, how rock solid are agreements to deliver submarines at some vague point in the future and only when the US has decided it does not have any need for them.”
I’ve been thinking for some time that the fate of #AUKUS is as good as a Dodo’s without being able to put my finger on the cause. It was just a gut feeling. As an afterthought, tier 2 might survive it all. Who knows at this stage.
