    I think small, light, and efficient ICE engines like the ones #liquidpiston and #alfadan are proposing will find a market even as transportation becomes more electrified. Range is still very much a problem with batteries and the charging infrastructure will take a decade or more to build out. If they can live up to their promises, these engines would make an excellent hybrid power train or range extender, providing they don't add a lot of weight or take up a lot of space

  6. Wow, these #LiquidPiston guys have been pushing this hard for what seems like months now. I just cannot see what would make anybody invest in this today,

    Firstly, it is still burning stuff, whether fossil fuels, "eFuel" or hydrogen. The world is (finally) going electric; these guys are boarding the sinking ship.

    Secondly, it is a tweak on a rotary engine. It is every bit "your grandfather's engine" as any of the modern IC engines on sale today. (Hint: they're not your gf's engine either)
