Today's Decepticon infiltrating my workplace is Drillhorn! I am going to overcome my strong negative feelings about drilltanks due to them not being a real thing that can possibly work for his sake. Where Jaruga had a little smirk, he looks grim and serious. His blue is a bit too close to Hellbat, but he's got the same proportions that I enjoyed with Killbison.
Drilltanks are still not a real thing that could work though.

Today it's Hellbat's turn to infiltrate my workplace! (I'm not calling him Ellbat. 😐) His colors don't really pop as well as my last two, but I love the bat motif.
Also he gets points for being prominently featured in the opening of one of the few episodes I had on that bootleg VHS tape in the 90s. Go on, watch the first few minutes of this and ask yourself, "Why do people think the Victory Decepticons are cool when they are clearly actually goofy disasters?"

My work partner for today is Killbison and... I just like him way more than I should? I dunno what it is, something about him is very aesthetically pleasing to me. Maybe it's the pop of red on his chest buddy? He's just a chunky brown boi but I look at him and my brain is like "yes good".

As I said earlier, #Transformers #Liokaiser is GREAT, since he’s clearly the objective of this entire set. He’s got articulated fingers, cool weapons, great proportions, and is genuinely fun to pose.
There are just enough 5mm holes on him that the breast animals don’t get left in a bag. And I’m glad that the nunchaku/spears store under the stands, because they’d be too easy to lose.
He reminds me of Combiner Wars Devastator: when sold as a set, the goal of Hasbro is to make a great combiner and let the individual bots suffer if need be.
I hope Hasbro tackles Road Caesar next. He’s an ugly combiner in his original toy (there’s only so much you can do with three bots combined) and I’d love to see him improved with better proportions.

Deathcobra has a great anime-accurate robot mode, and he makes a good arm for Liokaiser, but his helicopter mode is not only inaccurate, it can't even sit flat on a table.

I'll be posting photos of the #Transformers #Liokaiser bots separately, but overall impression is good. The Individual robots are VERY simple to transform, in the spirit of their original toys: arms are plainly visible in jet mode, cockpits lay conspicuously on the robot's back. Paint is minimal. The colors, in some cases, are so bright that the bots look like Chinese KOs instead of a HasTak original.
This is okay by me, because Liokaiser was clearly the focus and they knocked him out of the park, with ratchets everywhere and highly-articulated hands that disappear into the arm-bot's body completely.
Still, I wonder what could have been done if they'd been allowed to reengineer the individual bots a bit more.
