Me: yes (thinking: mostly b/c ppl make such dumb remarks about it)
Him: I think it’s part of your style. Do you wear it everywhere?
Me: er?

I'm DJing for Hot Jam (the local Lindy Hop social dance) tonight by myself for the first time—previously I've always been trading songs with another DJ. I don't get nerves when DJing for somewhere that requires the complicated mixing part, but at a place where I just have to play music, pause, play more music I've got the butterflies quite bad, probably because it's one of the tougher dance floors for lindy that I've ever seen. If you're in Atlanta, come out and learn to dance, there's a free lesson before hand and I'll be spinning some fun tunes (and would love some more friendly faces)!

CW: Complaining
At the Vietnam Lindy Exchange I wasn't the only one masking. Hell, I wasn't even the only White girl masking. I have pics and videos of myself dancing with other masked hotties.
Yesterday at a social back in NL, I was immediately interrogated about my mask-wearing, by someone who has known me for a year and a half now and definitely should know better.
I got so grumpy that I just left. Super tired anyway, but ya, that meant that I didn't have the energy to deal with the bs.

Went to a Valentine’s Day themed lindy hop social today. Had tried to match my face mask with my outfit, and above by the theme.
Some person: it must be so uncomfortable to wear a mask like that.
Me: I prefer this over getting sick.
Person : of course! You do you! Don’t worry, you don’t need to be ashamed of that!C’mon. Do I look like I’m ashamed of masking?
Forgive the very sweaty bathroom selfie. It was a nice party and the band was excellent!

Do I know anyone in the UK who, if I sent you £7.99 + shipping, would be willing to buy a rare LP off Discogs for me and either hold on to it until I can find someone to transport it to the US, or arrange for someone on your side of the pond to digitize it for me? If I buy it directly and ship it to the US the price of shipping is almost $50 USD... (Or even better, if you just love jazz and have the ability to rip vinyl yourself…)
